I have a BA from Yale University, an MFA from the University of Virginia, an MSW from New York University, and a degree in Psychoanalysis and Comprehensive Psychotherapy from the National Institute for the Psychotherapies. I have also taught at the University of Virginia and George Washington University.  My professional affiliations include the Women's Mental Health Consortium, Postpartum Support International, and the National Institute for the Psychotherapies Professional Association. 

Areas of expertise include: anxiety, depression, OCD, relationship issues (including dating, divorce and families), and maternal mental health (including perinatal and postpartum mood disorders, parenting, identity, and work-life balance).  

Theoretical orientation: For individuals: psychodynamic psychotherapy and relational psychoanalysis. For couples: some psychodynamic psychotherapy, attachment theory, and Gottman-influenced cognitive behavioral therapy.
